Liquid Diet Review

By Susan Field

The team at the 'the liquid diet plan' lead by the top nutrition and fitness expert Michael Goodman have created an innovative new kind of diet.

If you are like me and have tried nearly every way under the sun to lose weight, then I recommend this new system to you. It's simple, cheap and has a free trial period.

How does this diet work?

In a traditional liquid meal replacement diet you would aim to consume most or all of your daily calories from prepared liquid meals.

Some big brand diets sell a product in a sachet that you mix with water or milk. Others will give you ingredients and recipes.

When on a slimming packet diet I always think I'd be better off drinking milk as the sachets have little or no food value apart from sugar and vegetable protein.

They would normally work by enforcing calorie restriction. You would consume significantly fewer calories each day than you expend.

Have you been failed by packet meal replacement diets? I know I have and have been hungry in the process. I always feel cheated by packet diets as essentially there is no real secret to them. I always regain any lost water weight after a sachet slimming diet.

Diet and fitness practitioners have commented that this starvation approach to dieting does NOT work and may in fact cause weight gain later on.

What is different about the liquid diet plan?

I'm happy to say that it's not rocket science, this brand new liquid meal replacement diet is beneficial safe and effective.

Point one, No starvation is required for this plan to really benefit you.

Instead the liquid diet plan feeds your hunger with high quality nutrition.

To explain what I mean, we know that hunger pains are not just our body's way of asking for more calories. Most of these hunger signals are asking for high quality nutrients to fuel, heal and build a healthy body.

We all know that not eating enough makes us feel hungry, but what if we do eat a sufficient number of calories but the foods we choose to eat are low-quality and deficient in the nutrients our body needs?

If we were to think of hunger as a number of empty slots that our body has to fill in order to shut off all hunger signals, then we can begin to understand how by filling those hunger slots we could feel full and satisfied.

Weight-loss can only be successful if we feed the whole body and are fully satisfied and our needs are met completely.

The real genius of this system is that it feeds the primary requirements first so we can consume fewer calories and feel full for longer.

Prioritise food quality over calories

So by consuming optimised recipes that are designed to stop food cravings and make you feel satisfied you can eat less quantity (total calories) and easily lose weight.

Summing it all up

Leave the slimmer diets in the rear view mirror and upgrade your body with brand new easy to prepare recipes from Michael's team at the liquid diet plan.

Try these high-quality satiating liquid diet recipes you can make at home for free.

Selecting An Adult Weight Loss Camp

By Anita Ortega

Trying to lose weight can be difficult. One of the big problems is that day to day life often gets in the way. Fast food restaurants, cars and a more sedentary lifestyle all conspire to make it harder for people to keep fit. One way to break this cycle is to go to an Adult Weight Loss Camp.

Some people make the mistake of assuming that the pressure to drop pounds is to look healthier. It is true that losing weight can make people feel more self confident. However this is not the sole motivation to get fitter and indeed in the long term it should not be the sole consideration.

Therefore a good way to break this cycle is to go out to a retreat. This is where you spend some time away from your home. However it is important to emphasise this is not about people feeling bad about their self image. In fact it is the opposite and is about improving people and their self confidence.

It is also important to emphasise that there are various types of retreat available. What you choose can depend on a number of factors. In terms of budget this will affect how long you can stay there. This can vary from a day or a weekend up to a couple of weeks. Ideally you should spend a while away from home as this will allow you to get the full benefit from a retreat.

This is where going to a camp can help. Physically going away from your daily routine means you have to go in line with what they want you to do. You do not have the comforts of home and the stress of the daily routine is no longer an excuse to not do anything! Activities are organised and you are expected to do what they tell you to do. This creates a structure that becomes easier to follow.

It should also be stated that weight loss does not necessarily need to be stressful. Indeed with a day spa it is quite the opposite! The reason this can be beneficial is because stress can often be a major contributing factor to health problems. Furthermore stressed people are more likely to eat more, drink more alcohol and this in turn can exacerbate weight problems.

However weight loss does not necessarily have to be about discipline or deprivation. One way of dealing with fitness issues is to reduce stress. A day spa is a good place to unwind while at the same time helping you lose weight. Stress can often be a major contributing factor to various health issues including insomnia and increased risk of heat problems so this in and of itself is worth addressing. Furthermore stressed people are more likely to comfort eat, smoke and drink more and this further contributes to health problems.

You should also compare the different weight loss camps and learn about the background of the people involved. This will make it easier to choose something appropriate to your personal fitness goals. You should also check for feedback from people who have attended these camps and if they benefited from them in the long term rather than a short term boost to their fitness. With the right approach you will find something that works best for your long term fitness needs!

Better Than BMI

By Rey Vetangelo

If you are overweight or obese, you are not alone. And chances are, you have tried a myriad of diets that were either ineffective or difficult to maintain. Maybe you are interested in weight loss surgery, but cannot afford it. Perhaps you have even considered traveling to a weight-loss clinic in Mexico to have gastric sleeve surgery done at a lower cost, but aren't sure about the risks. Surgery may not be the only solution you have left. One popular diet that many people have found to be successful is the Zone Diet.

For instance, if you are 6 feet tall, your healthy weight range is higher than that of someone who is 5 feet 5 inches tall. Since BMI is more precise, yet still easy to calculate (there are currently dozens of free BMI calculators available online), it has been used in some form for the last 200 years. However, lately there has been some speculation about new measurements of physical health that might be even more accurate than BMI.

According to this diet, good carbs come from colorful fruits and vegetables, while foods like bread, pasta, and other grains should be limited or avoided. The eating schedule is fairly strict for this diet, breaking the day down into three meals and two snacks. The first meal needs to be within an hour of waking, you should never go more than five hours without eating, and should have a snack before bedtime.

For instance, athletes who train intensively can develop large amounts of muscle that add to the body's overall weight. Thus we could find that taller individuals who are obviously overweight are being given a similar BMI to shorter athletes.

Due to the BMI's inability to deliver a sufficiently accurate measurement, some scientists and medical researchers have been turning to other methods of determining one's physical health. One of these is the Body Adiposity Index (BAI).

The BAI is based on ratios involving measurements of the height and the hips, which allows for a much more flexible and accommodating alternative to the traditional BMI. However, while the BAI has been proven to give more accurate readings than the BMI, it is less convenient to calculate, with the necessary measurements requiring a doctor's office and trained personnel in order to be computed correctly. Although the BAI still needs some work, it has been proven to be more accurate than the BMI, which could lead to its prevalence in the future.

Other factors that make this diet effective are that it is relatively easy to follow "one-third" and "size-of-palm" rules, and that online membership is free with inexpensive cookbooks available.

People whose waist measurements are less than half of their height measurements have been proven to be healthier, with fewer instances of stroke, heart disease, and diabetes. The great thing about this technique is that it can accurately measure children and help predict their risk of obesity, since both their waist size and their height will increase as they grow.

Despite the fact that it causes dieters to fall short of the grain recommendations found in the Food Guide Pyramid, consumption of nutrients like fiber, potassium, and calcium result in a healthy, safe diet.

Common Nutritional Myths

By James Spann

As we try to make proper food choices for our daily meals, we must always be aware of nutritional myths. Their prevalence on the internet, and other types of media, makes it very difficult to discern what's true, and what not true. Eating low-fat foods because they are better for you, is one instance. A food labeled "low fat" in the supermarket is usually synonymous with "loaded with salt and useless carbohydrates." For example, consider Smucker's Reduced Fat Peanut Butter. Smucker's added a quick-digesting carbohydrate called maltodextrin to substitute for the fat it replaced. Maltodextrin contains more calories than the fat it replaced. That's not going to benefit your weight loss program.

Listed below are some other nutritional myths.

Sea salt is more beneficial to your health than regular table salt.

The FDA has not made a diligent effort to regulate the use of the word "natural" on food labels. For example: 7UP claims that it's produced with "100% Natural Flavors" when, actually, the soda is sweetened with an un-natural dose of high fructose corn syrup. "Corn" is natural, but "high fructose corn syrup" is manufactured by man.

Drinking red wine is good for the cardiovascular system, including the heart.

Research has proven that this statement is not one of many nutritional myths. However, a survey found that most Americans believe that increasing their daily intake of wine will increase its benefits to the heart. This is a myth. Drinking too much wine can cause many serious health problems because it contains alcohol. The American Heart Association recommends only one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men. In other words, moderate drinking of wine, not excessive drinking, is good for the heart.

Ingesting eggs for breakfast is bad for your heart.

Eggs do include a significant amount of cholesterol in their yolks. An above-average size egg contains about 210 milligrams of cholesterol. I'm aware that cholesterol may contribute to clogged arteries and heart attacks. However, research has shown that most healthy people can consume an egg every day with no complications. Why is this so? The cholesterol we eat-in eggs does not cause a massive effect on raising our blood cholesterol. The chief heart-disease culprits are saturated and trans fats, which have a lot higher impact on raising blood cholesterol. A typical egg contains two grams of saturated fat and no trans fats. You should limit your cholesterol intake to less than 300 mg daily. When you eat a large egg, you are only getting 10% of this amount. So one large egg a day is fine as long as you don't go over that 300 mg of cholesterol with the rest of your daily diet.

Eating fatty meals, such as bacon and sausage, will certainly make you fat.

This is a nutritional myth. Meals high in fat do have cholesterol and saturated fats which contributes to having heart attacks. Nevertheless, calories in sugars - not fatty foods - are the main offender that triggers weight gain. It is a fact that bacon and sausage contain calories, also. But they do not have the amount of calories found in carbohydrates - which are broken down to form different types of sugars. These sugars are the major sources of energy - measured in calories - for our body.

The take home point: If you wish to shed or keep from gaining a great deal of weight, you should lower your intake of high-sugary foods, such as buttermilk pancakes with layers of mocha cream covered with delicious chocolate and whipped cream. Rather than consuming high-sugary carbs, eat the good carbohydrates which are high in fiber and crucial nutrients, such as broccoli, grains, green spinach, and fruits.

If you are uncertain as to whether a specific meal practice is a nutritional myth, research it on the internet. If you find that the behavior is a misconception, congratulate yourself on becoming a nutritional myth buster.

It's recommendable for anyone to stay away from weight loss ideas that involve unreasonable curbing of one's caloric intake. On the current market, there are hundreds of supplements formulated to help dieters see results faster. Some of these products actually work, in particular those that are not available over the counter. However, many of them will only steal your money. Being overweight or obese is a difficult burden for people to live with. Only you can do something about it. If you are overweight or obese, start by learning all you can about ways to take off some of your excess weight. This article will offer valuable advice and set you on the right path.

Eating a chunky soup instead of a meal can help you lose weight. Try to drink and eat your calories to moderate your consumption. By choosing chunky soups full of vegetables, beans, etc., you'll notice that you'll get fuller quicker instead of selecting creamy soups.

Participating in a fad diet, like the ABC diet, may sound like a good plan initially. If you're really serious about losing weight, avoid these fad diets. Although a fad diet may seem intriguing initially, after a while it can become boring, especially if you're eating one particular dish, like cabbage soup, repeatedly. Even worse, they are unhealthy and you don't learn how to eat properly. It is far safer to opt for a diet plan that provides you with instruction on how to make healthy food choices.

A great tip to shed pounds is to try to associate with people who live an active lifestyle. When you are around people that stay active, you are more apt to be that way yourself. Someone who sits on the couch all day will not be a good influence.

Broccoli is an excellent food that helps aid you in shedding pounds. Broccoli contains so many antioxidants making it one of the best vegetable choices around. You can put broccoli in your salad, or you can eat it raw, steamed or sauteed. Your body will respond and give you a big thanks.

If you like chips and want to continue eating them throughout your diet, consider the baked chips. The baked versions have a lot less fat with about the same taste.

Learn techniques to handle the stress in your life. Whenever we feel stressed, our bodies will store more fat. Even though your stress may not be permanent, your body still reacts this way. Keep stress at a minimum so you can lose weight.

Investing in a pedometer will aid in weight loss. With a pedometer, you will be able to see the number of steps you are taking. This handy tool will help you ensure you walk enough during the day. A good daily total you should aim for is 10,000 steps. 10,000 steps should be taken, if not walk more.

People like to put a skip on breakfast, but eating a nice healthy and nutritious breakfast is actually great advice concerning weight loss. Many people think skipping it will help them save calories, but this is not a good idea. This strategy may cut calories short-term, but by lunchtime you may be famished as a result of skipping breakfast. It might even cause you to make poor food choices.

It's easy to talk about losing weight, but actually getting started can be a challenge. Start anew today, regardless of what's happened in the past. Then, you will wonder what took you so long to begin.

Keep your weight down with some oatmeal each morning. Oatmeal has many benefits for dieters because it is a meal that satisfies hunger long than most foods, it contains many nutrients and it is low calorie if you know what topping to avoid. It is also very filling.

If the first exercise and diet plan is not working as quickly as you had hoped, do not allow yourself to become discouraged. Give your body a little time to get used to it. Instead of giving up, try tweaking your plan to make it work better for you. Stop yourself from trying to attain goals that are too far out there. It took a while for the weight to build up, so don't expect it to disappear overnight. So this should not be your goal. Why make it impossible? You will eventually see significant weight loss, even if you just lose a few pounds a week because it begins to add up. Be consistent!
