How Make Up For Sensitive Skin Will Transform Your Skin

By Paula Barron

Compared to the rest of the body, the face is particularly delicate and it needs to be handled with special care. Some people are more sensitive-skinned than usual and they are prone to breakouts, rashes and other reactions. To avoid this, such people should use make up for sensitive skin and skincare products that are hypoallergenic.

In response to the need for make up that could be used by the delicate-skinned women without causing a reaction, beauty experts came up with mineral make up. This is an umbrella term for products that are made using pure, mineral ingredients rather than chemicals made in a laboratory. There is an entire range of them including blushers, foundations, bronzers, eye shadows and others. Mineral make-up has a lighter texture and it sits softly giving a natural, subtle effect.

The greatest benefit that mineral make-up offers is that the toxins that enter the body through the skin-pores are reduced. It is free of dyes, fragrances, binders, petrochemicals and talc. It has no artificial chemicals either some of which contain irritants. It is also free of preservatives and is non-comodogenic.

Continued use of organic cosmetics will not only be the end of break outs but it will also enhance its texture, condition and its appearance. Those with conditions such as acne, dermatitis, blotchiness and rosacea also see improvement with the use of mineral make-up.

Skin should be well conditioned and prepped for cosmetics to sit nicely on it and for them to last. Cleansing, polishing up, toning and protecting the skin are the fundamental skincare routine that should be followed. For the delicate-skinned, only hypoallergenic products should be used.

When it comes to cleansing, soap is the last thing you should be using on your face whether you are delicate-skinned or not. Apart from cream soaps, it is too drying and it leaves residue. Instead, go for a cream cleanser which you apply and wipe or rinse off or foaming liquid or gel facial cleanser which lathers up.

New skin-cells keep on forming and at the same time, dead ones being shed off. If dead ones are not removed, the skin looks scaly. Slough them off with a facial scrub which brings out the new, smooth complexion to the surface. It should be done a minimum of biweekly.

Toning is also another important step. It removes any residue left after using other products, it refreshes the skin and it prepares it for moisturizing. For day, use a moisturizer that contains sun protection or SPF. At night, use one that will promote new cell regeneration.

In addition to your monthly facial, treat yourself to face packs weekly twice a week. The best time is when taking your bath or shower so the steam can open up the pores for the mask to penetrate and clean the pores from deep down.

Use make up for sensitive skin and skin-care products for sensitive skin and you will soon seen a change. You will see a radiant, clear and even complexion start to emerge. And you can be sure the breakout and blemishes will be a thing of the past.
